Semillon produces a luscious, pretty white wine but this iteration from natural wine superstar Charlotte Dalton is so much more than a pretty face. She’s the main character, you can feel her charisma from across the room! This Semillon gets an extensive aging on the lees for body and texture, making its grand entrance with an unfurling of waxy lemon curd, pine resin and heady petrol. Fuzzy Peaches on crunchy celery-fennel salad which sounds like a contradiction but then again, what is sophistication if not an intriguing high-low contradiction! Like any good perfume ad, an intoxicating mix of high-falutin’ conceptual grandeur with a worldly wink of silliness, darn tootin’ delicious stuff.
