A savoury, herby and supple zero-zero south of France malbec to share with your grandpa. Clos Siguier is a small, family-run estate known for their low-intervention methods and the hand-harvesting of their organically grown grapes – with a special focus on MALBEC. Their classic ‘Cahors’ is 90% full and rich malbec and 10% intense, smoky tannat grown in clay-limestone soils that were destemmed, gently crushed and macerated for 10-15 days to pull scrubby tannins, before aging for 18 months combing out the swanky texture. FUN FACT! Malbec originated in the south of France. It was introduced to Argentina in 1868 & took off; Argentina now grows over 75% of the world's malbec! Cherry chapstick, blackcurrant smush, raspberry leaf, black tea, drying herbs, swamp-chic, cobblestone, scented books & a spoonful of soil. Pair with the finest grilled cheese around, one specifically made with aged, raw cow's milk.
