A firm handshake and a clink-y cheers are called for when sipping this beautiful collab from the historic Cantine Rallo and natural wine champions Les Caves de Pyrenes. This is a true refresher, pale yellow like the twinkly sun bouncing off the pool at high noon, ready to quench thirst and pair perfectly with tinned fishes, a crunchy salad topped with toasted pine nuts, or a hearty vegetarian stew. Organic grapes are fermented in stainless steel tanks with no filtering or fining. Lemon-y, almond-y goodness with a medium-body and perfectly gentle tropical fruit vibes.

Grenache Blanc, Tarragona, Spain

A balanced, bright and prevailing Spanish white for the most special of Wednesdays. Brothers Francesc and Joan Ferré are part of a two century long line of grape farmers, making energetic natural wines in the Terra Alta appellation of Catalonia. A mediterranean paradise, the 20 hectares of land range from placidly flat to chunky hills, and are enrobed by vineyards, olive trees and numerous other crops. Harvested at two different times to get a balance of plucky acids, sugars and phenolic ripeness, the grapes are later joined together for an expression they call “the yin and yang” of white grenache. Weighty and textural, a full bin of peeled lemons, salty seduction, licking cold glass, whole kiwi, cold butter creaminess, orange peel marmalade & perfectly inviting bitters on the end. Pair with your cutest culottes & a plate of steamy dumplings.

Stein & Fels is a delicious wine that tastes freakin' delicious (can you tell we love her) with a nose that literally feels like being a kid walking into a Sugar Mountain & seeing container after container of every gummi shape & flavour you could ever dream of, a world full of possibility! Such a cool expression of Riesling, somehow managing to taste undeniably like Riesling but also unlike any other Riesling we've ever tried, a dry but flavourful wine with a yin-yang balance between residual sugar & pointed acidity. Rockets candy, candy cuteness, kiwi fruit, orange sherbet, marshmallow strawberries, playing Candyland on Easter. Plus, it’s got an extremely reasonable ABV of 10% so you don’t have to stress too hard about overdoing it on the YUM!
