Our first class of 2026 is getting FREAKY! There is simply no better way to explore the world of ADVENTUROUS wine and find your sweet spot, and the vocab to ask for it, than to join us for our Freaky Education Hour. Freaky is a term we use to describe how adventurous a wine is, from classic to other-world oddities that push our definitions of what a wine can and 'should' taste like. In this all-time favourite session, we'll taste through five different wines, levels 1-5 on our 'Freaky Scale', and talk through what makes a natural wine f r e a k y. With this extended session, we'll explore: winemaking decisions, 'faults' and terms like carbonic maceration, trapped c02, VA, skin contact and beyond, and how these affect flavours in your glass.
As always, our goal is to equip you with a ton of knowledge and vocab, dialling in on your sweet spot of adventurousness, and how to communicate exactly what you want the next time you're at a wine shop or restaurant anywhere in the world.

This Education Hour is seated and takes place in our Salon, on the second floor of our shop, located at 1247 Dundas Street West. Please note all event tickets are non-refundable.
Unfortunately this event is not accessible as it is located on the second floor and there are no elevators. There are gender neutral bathrooms on site and we will provide water and spitoons.
