Founded in 1989 with the aim of rescuing the area’s local varieties, Zorzal’s philosophy is that wine originates in the vineyard. Their 40 hectares of gently rolling grounds creates a small oasis between the vineyards on the lower bank of the Ebro river, giving the wines an eXTra freshness. From resilient, 60-year-old vines, the fruit is left 20% whole cluster to pull slightly more gripping tannins. Star-bright raspberry, strawberry and red cherry, with black pepper bite, aromatic herbs, chalky tannins, beeswax & a long, leathery finish. Enjoy while completing todays wordle and marvelling at just how many five letter words actually exist in English.
