Sincere, modest and endlessly talented winemakers Patrick Bouju and Justine Loiseau possess the gifted touch of those truly capable of creation; we imagine the craftsman of The Leshan Giant Buddha or The Great Wall of China were similarly afflicted. The mouthwateringly crisp jacquère grapes come from Savoie, bestowed upon them by their close friend, the clever and legendary, Jean Yves Peron. Maceration lasts one month in concrete, meaning palpable texture and ravishing phenolics (aromatic compounds) for days upon days. Rich in stones, the smell of sun on your skin, alpine florals, slowly evaporating dew, warm spice, mandarin acidity & tonal VA that seems to lift everything up an octave or two. Enjoy with as much childlike wonder as you can muster, this one’s a doozie.
