Originally from Brittany, Jean Christophe Garnier worked as a sommelier before moving into winemaking, and acclimating himself to the region by working for Loire royalty, Marc Angeli. Here, on the south side of the Layon River, JC tends to small plots of Loire specialties like chen. . .

A sleek, lithe & highly consumable zero-zero chenin. Originally from Brittany, Jean Christophe Garnier worked as a sommelier before moving into winemaking, and acclimating himself to the region by working for Loire royalty, Marc Angeli. Here, on the south side of the Layon River, JC tends to small plots of Loire specialties like chenin, cabernet franc, grolleau, gamay & pineau d’aunis, ranging from 40-60 years in age. The 2023 vintage was rainier than normal (meaning more juice), and this bottling includes a snippet from each parcel of chenin, all hand-harvested, gently pressed and bottled unfined, unfiltered, with no additional SO2. Lactic rockiness, lemon bash, Atlantic icicles, lime flower, down pillow, wax n’ wool. The perfect companion for sushi nights in, seaweed salad, soft-shell crab or fatty tuna, JC’s got you covered.
