It was Mathieu and Camille Lapierre’s father, Marcel, who alongside some legendary, like-minded winemakers – Guy Breton, Jean-Paul Thévenet and Jean Foillard, dubbed the Gang of Four – popularized many of the natural wine practices seen around the world today. After Marcel’s passing in 2010, his children have taken the torch and really run with it, introducing biodynamic principles and cementing this wine’s status as one of the greatest French wines of all time. And if you’ve never had Morgon before, you’re in for a treat! Powerful is one word for it, transcendent is another. Ripe, lustrous and vast, nearly Pinot Noir but undeniably Gamay, a giant with a gentle touch. Pretty little red fruits, rubbed rose, turned earth, hard gravel, soft graphite, Marc Jacobs’ Daisy & horsehair tannins. Perfect for anniversaries & spoiling yourself rotten, which are not mutually exclusive.
Also available in Magnums and DOUBLE Magnums!
