The estate now covers six hectares, with one third of its vineyards concentrated in two Grand Cru certified plots, dubbed Steinert and Zinnkoepfle. Picked at optimum ripeness and direct pressed for purity of expression, ‘Le Geai’ is then aged for a year in large Alsatian barrels to spin itself into gold. Nectarous kumquat, mandarin orange crate, jasmine vines, citric VA (volatile acidity) & a crowding chalky-ness. Drink while reading Robin Wall Kimmerer’s newest release, The Serviceberry.
