Winemaker Alberto Orte works sustainably in Portugal’s largest wine region, Vinho Verde, on the border of Spain's Galicia province. Coming from small, granitic plots protected from the oceanic winds by a range of mountains in Monção and Melgaço, his vines were planted between 1910 and 2005. FUN FACT! This bottle and label are a celebration of the grape growers and tile makers of northern Portugal! The ‘Nortico’ grapes were sourced from over 100 small vineyard plots and come together much like a tiled mosaic, patching together the region and year into one lusty bottling. Saline and citric, with creamy lime gelato, spiced yellow apple filling, faint, peachy florals, lemon oil & a lengthy mineral ending. Enjoy alongside lasagna layered with eggplant and ricotta.
