A wine to help you stand up and do a jig. The Dietrich family has farmed land in Alsace since the 1600s. More recently, winemakers Pierre and Jean took over the biodynamic winery, the first members of the family to bottle the estate’s wines – as the grapes were previously only sold. Today they farm 18.5 hectares of vines across five different soil profiles and several different micro-climates. The ‘Pépin’ line is their new ‘négoce’ range, meaning they are using some bought fruit from like-minded & trusted growers. A blend of vivid grenache, mountain berried syrah, floral and nutty pinot blanc & properly spiced carignan. A bushel of roses, gentle yet brusk spices, with anise, pepper and nutmeg, and fruit all up in your grill, like raspberry coulis, cherry bubblegum & rolling around on the forest floor. Enjoy with all things dark, meaty & funky.
