An adventurous, complex and zero-zero orange from a MUST-KNOW producer. Available for the second time in Ontario, the fantastically incomparable wines of Alice Bouvot are back! Since 2005, Alice has been working with both home grown and purchased fruit, coupled with a hearty dedication to the showcasing of single plots, diverse terroirs, and true grape expression across the coveted lineup. FUN FACT! To tell apart her negoce fruit from her domaine, look for the gnomes on her negoce labels! The mineral, verdant and spiced sylvaner for ‘Sly Vin’ was picked and fermented by Alice but grown by Guillaume Clauss of Domaine René Clauss in Ergersheim, Alsace. The grapes spent six weeks on the skins as whole bunches before being pressed off and aged with their lees until the following spring. Garlands of herbs a plenty, blooming jasmine, volatile vivacity, burnt tangerine rind, oolong, cumin, peach syrup, tamarind, salt & white peppercorns. Pour alongside Paul Thomas Anderson’s 2002 gem, Punch Drunk Love.
