Original winemaker Stanko Radikon was beloved, one of few winemakers fermenting a uniquely Slovenian style of Friuli wines: concentrated, textured & ferociously intricate. His are among the finest, rarest & most sought-after skin-contact wines in the world. After Stanko’s passing in 2016, his son Saša took on the traditions, and we couldn’t be more impressed. Radikon’s blue labels denote the cuveés that are given the most extreme skin contact and longest maturation. Here is Saša's phenomenal blend of chardonnay and sauvignon blanc – spending up to four months on skins before three years in barrel and THEN, the wine is bottled – ageing like this allows the wine to really sink its teeth into itself.
