A crunchy, classy and bone-dry German riesling. Finnish-Dutch winemaker Philip Lardot works with as little manipulations as possible, in a regal region that is not for the faint-hearted. From a teeny, 0.2 hectare plot resting on a STEEP slate slope in the famous Mosel town of Piesport, this lineup is made to show time, place and grape. FUN FACT! Near Philip's house is the world's steepest vineyard, the Bremmer Calmont, which is actually a full on CLIFF with vines growing from it! Picked from a few different sites of 30 to 40-year-old vines on grey and blue slate, the final wine is aged in used barrels for 14 months to mellow and is bottled unfined and unfiltered with minimal so2 added. Citrus salad, warm stone fruits picked in the afternoon sun, satin nightgown, chunky minerality & petrol. Enjoy while watching the newest season of ‘Couples Therapy’ with a container of cold leftovers.
