Generations later, his family continues to steward regional grapes, like this one, grown in bush vines on their own rootstock (a rare thing!) with biodynamic practices and natural winemaking. The deeply textured Mavrodaphne grape was traditionally used exclusively in the region's sweet wines, before Eviviadis released his first dry example in 1996. The Orgion was hand-picked from 40+ year-old-vines before natural fermentation and aging in old French oak. Ripe plums, blackberry pie, and a healthy soil after a good rain with a smooth as heck palate that will warm you on the coolest night or pair with your most off-the-bone meat stew.
