An herbaceous, mineral and zero-zero Austrian rosé for one and all. Available for the first time in Ontario, welcome the wines of Maria & Sepp Muster! Maria and Sepp took over the Schlossberg estate (with a history traceable back to 1727!) from Sepp’s father in 2000. These famous 10 hectares of certified organic and biodynamic vineyards are composed of rolling slopes held together by OLD vines. The blend of highly-berried rotburger, tart blaufränkisch & vegetal blauer wildbacher are pressed over four hours and aged for 20 months in old oak barrels. FUN FACT! Shortly before his passing, Maria and Sepp’s good friend, the artist Beppo Pliem “found his answers on the horizon and in a reduction to the essentials”, and since then, his paintings have graced their bottles representing the interaction between earth, sky and grape! Strawberry pocky, sand, macerated red currant tartness, white pepper, mixed herbs & stems take us back to the forest. Enjoy with spicy tuna hand rolls.
