A summer of rice, fruit forward & refreshing. A stunning seasonal release from one of Japan’s most historic brewers, established in 1662! FUN FACT! The Miyasaka family served as samurai to the lords of the Suwa area. However, following years of strife between the Suwa clan and warlords Takeda Shingen and Oda Nobunaga during the Warring States period (16th century), the family gave up its swords and turned to sake making! ’Suzumi’ or “summer breeze” is polished to 55% of the grain remaining, then uniquely brewed with the rarely used white koji to create a luminous, citric acidity that runs circles around your tongue. Pear juice everywhere, wasp buzz, green banana mash, lemon yogurt & a cicada-soundtracked stroll down memory lane. Enjoy with sashimi, and seaweed salads lightly tossed in citrus dressings.
