A vibrant, aromatic and salty Italian alternative to Chablis. Terralibera is a small winery nestled between Montecarotto and Serra de’ Conti in Italy’s stunning Marche region, with the belief that minimal intervention is the only way to let their land express itself. FUN FACT! Since Gian Mario shifted to organic farming he sprays copper and sulphur as little as possible, while employing some biodynamic techniques such as concoctions of seaweed, nettle and horsetail to regulate the vineyard’s microbiology! Picked from their sun-kissed and sloping, 5.5-hectare, Apennines-viewing vineyard, the (too often under-appreciated) verdicchio is direct-pressed and aged on lees for six months for an unexpected weight. Citrus soak, white lilies and jasmine, ripe peach, nonna’s linens & salted almonds. Pour alongside clams in an aromatic broth.
