Like a drinkable memory of the warmth and ease of your childhood backyard. Glòria Garriga is everything you want to be when you grow up & more. She doesn’t own vines but instead has established long-standing relationships with local growers who were willing to work with natural methods before it was CoOL (think 2001). Meticulously involved in every step of the winemaking process, her keen eye and sense of taste are revered by all. Most of the vines used are around 100 years in age, gnarled & beauteous. The wine ferments “long, smooth, slow, and silent” says Gloria, and for us, each sip is like being indoctrinated into a utopian world. Aging is done in terracotta amphora lined with beeswax which amps up the plushness like you wouldn’t believe (anyone ever taste CASTEX?!). FUN FACT! Yearly production is never over 1000 bottles of this siren! Oceanside, boundary layer plants clinging to sand dunes, dried oregano garland, nectarine elixir, marshmallow root, licking a mirror, chamomile pollen & a balanced salty plushness that has the potential to awaken something visceral in all of us. Enjoy like a last hug with your foster dog before they go to their forever home.
