Named ‘Volaina’ as it means butterfly in Catalan, and represents a delicate partner in the balance and prosperity of the vineyard ecosystem. Celler Credo is devoted to producing terroir driven wines without chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides in other words, wines that speak plainly to their own personal sensory history. Certified organic, the vines are 30 years old and sit on limestone soils, which bring higher levels of natural acidity. FUN FACT! This wine supports the Catalan Butterfly Monitoring Scheme, which studies the role of this group of insects as bioindicators. The aromatic parellada grapes see a short maceration before six months on supportive fine lees. Lemon peel + pith, lime blossoms, slate, jasmine tea, tart green pear, pink guava, shaved fennel & freshly shucked green peas. Enjoy out of a discreet vessel at your local butterfly conservatory, butterfly-kisses for everyone!
