Like traveling into a dream and sipping a glass of wine handed to you by Jennifer Coolidge as the two of you sit on a pink toadstool under the stars, singing American Pie by Don Mclean. Fifth generation winemaker Max Dexheimer & his partner Marika (an Estonian sommelier and entrepreneur) organically manage their 10 hectare of land to perfection. Part of a community of like minded, exciting young German winemakers – such as Andi Weigand, Andi Mann & Martin Worner (aka Marto)! The respect for tradition and willingness to experiment are palpable & admirable. Carbonically macerated for four days before aging on the lees for nine months in traditional German Stückfass barrels (1200L). FUN FACT! The inspiring labels are all cut out of one big painting made by Max’s friend, and are meant to representing the energy he feels in the vineyards. A fifty/fifty blend of boisterous sylvaner & zesty weissburgunder (aka pinot blanc) – structurally sound porch mouthfeel, iced lemonade, vivid memories, watery orange blossom florals & flinty minerality. Pour alongside afternoons of galavanting & happy tears.
