We had the pleasure to taste this earlier this year at Laurent’s winery and boy did it ever go straight. . .

Chenin from the Loire is like butter from Ireland, and you haven’t tasted anything until you’ve tasted Irish butter! Laurent creates wines that are expressive, playful & driven by a tireless (hello NY chef vibez) work ethic. We had the pleasure to taste this earlier this year at Laurent’s winery and boy did it ever go straight to the TOP of our 2022 Chenin Charts(™). The young organic vines, a mere 10 years of age, are grown by Julien Moreau of Domaine de Cambalu (also in the Loire). The fruit is directly pressed (#PURE) before spending one year in amphora developing a gossamer curtain-like texture we would lick off of the floor just to experience. Preserved lemon sorbet, slate waterfall, early spring summersweet clethra, soft arrowroot biscuit, spinach greenness & white strawberry pocky essence. Drink while listening to ‘You and Me’ by Penny & the Quarters.
