The colour of honey-tinted sunlight, and twice as tender. Mortellito is a two hectare piece of countryside where winemaker Dario Serrentino’s great-grandparents lived in the early twentieth century. Sicily is a revered hot spot for innovation and organic wine, and has been called, “the hip grandmother of the wine world” by some. FUN FACT! Dario used to sell his grapes to famed natural wine producers the likes of Frank Cornelissen and Lamoresca, talk about #GoodGrapes! A joining of the full and herbal grillo (90%), and bright catarratto (10%), harvested from chalky soils and clearly having left their mineral mark. White nectarine, darts of acidity, salty sea glass and seashells, bruised lime, green bean snap, whipping whipped cream, tall grasses & starfruit. Enjoy with dirty potatoes: roughly diced, fresh rosemary, Montreal steak spice, sizzling in a scalding pool of duck fat.
