From the southernmost corner, winemaker Dario Serrentino’s piece of salt-sodden countryside is as stunning as when his great-grandparents farmed there in the early twentieth century. Situated in the Val di Noto – lovingly referred to by Dario as "a desert next to the beach” – their now 23 hectares are distinguished by ‘light lands’, composed of limestone-clay which brings minerality and sapidity, and ‘dark lands’, composed of limestone + organic substances that encourage balance and fruit. Honouring regional grapes like nero d’avola, moscato di noto, frappato & grillo, these cuvées are a must try piece of the Sicilian wine puzzle, and we at GW are so pleased to bring them to YOU!
