Arndorfer

Arndorfer
It is hard to overstate how much we love the textured, nuanced wines of Arndorfer. From within one of the oldest, most globally recognized fine-wine regions of Austria, Anna and Martin Arndorfer have taken the traditions of their two local winemaking families and found new light. It is icing on the cake that they are also some of the most humble and dedicated people we know with excellent cats on the property. Their village of Strass is just east of Austria’s largest producing wine village, however it is Strass’ hillier land, composed mostly of fertile loess (sandy/silt) soils, that are arguably better suited for vineyards. Mostly focusing on grüner and riesling, they also deal in the cool-site loving neuberger (our fave!), pinot noir, chardonnay & sauvignon blanc, to create their distinguishing Arndorfer mark. Complex, mineral-driven & downright brilliant, these are bottles worth waiting for.
