Roland, La Crescent, Itasca & ES-10-18-14, Montreal, Quebec
An aromatic, textural & TONGUE TICKLING Quebecois orange. Lieux Communs are a small, urban winery in Montreal that work with vineyards, orchards, and small farms across Quebec and Ontario, while still tending their own vines in Oka, embracing the principles of regenerative agriculture! Unrestrained and experimental, they are guided by their tastebuds, curiosity and inspiration, making use of flowers, teas, herbs, berries, honey and grape skins to craft their unique visions. Plucked from heavy clay soils, the apricot-y roland (developed in Quebec!), tropical la crescent, and mineral, white-fruited itasca grapes spent four days on skins and were barrel fermented, while the aromatic, spiced Es-10-18-14 **not that you necessarily would think to, but DISCLAIMER this is not a suitable name for your next child** spent two weeks carbonically fermenting for a pleasing LIFT. FUN FACT! This is the SECOND wine made from their new, early-ripening, frost-resistant hybrid grape varieties that were planted on Guillaume's cousin's small chicken farm in Saint-Eugène-de-Grantham (a cool, flat area near Drummondville) in 2021! FUN FACT 2: despite it’s intimidating name, ES-10-18-14 and all hybrids aren’t GMOs formulated in a sterile lab, they’re old school, and natural as can be grape crossings to breed disease restinance! A tongue wiggling amount of trapped Co2, tart yellow apple, pollen breeze, rocket candy sleeve, citron hand soap, peach yoplait & a solid bedrock of minerality. Pour alongside rotisserie chicken, coleslaw and potato wedges.

We don't know if you've heard this, but Canada is a truly WILD place to import wine. Each province is it's own country with super strict rules. For ages, so much of the very best natural wine never made it into the province. That is changing in such an exciting way. We started our own import company to bring you some of our very favourite wines from around the world at the sharpest prices - this allows us to travel, fall in love with a wine, and bring right to your doorstep without a middle person. Put simply, as the importer, we shave one layer off the supply chain. We offer these sweet wholesale discounts when you bundle. From 1, 3 to 6 packs you'll find serious savings. The GWI sticker - Grape Witch Imports - means not only that we strongly stand behind the producer, it also means you won't find a better deal anywhere else in town. It also allows us to source many wines just for the shop - you'll find Ontario exclusives marked GWIE - Grape Witch Import Exclusive. Are you a licensee or producer looking to join our imports roster? Send us an email at hello@grapewitchimports.com
