Winemakers and long-time friends Gian Luca & Gino make progressive and provocative wines in Nizza, the Monferrato region of Piedmont, Italy, where they’ve turned a conventional farm into an entirely organic grape-growing operation. In their hands, perfumed moscato becomes a well-tended garden – or in this case a full-on wildflower field of our dreams. Moscato grapes for ‘Orange Circus’ spent over 95 days on their spent skins, soaking up every last bit of the grapes’ aroma, marmalade hue, and soft tannins, which has resulted in a wacky Vaudeville revue of a wine! Open a bottle and get the grapefruit moon, the peach sun, an acrobat dropped into a silk-held split, middle-aged perfume, Twisted Tea, persistent peonies, hypoallergenic terrier, coral wetsuit & slingshot loaded with golden raisins. Pairs well with both showing your friends you can still do a cartwheel & all the ensuing physiotherapy.
