Gian Luca & Gino are long time friends and progressively minded, co-winemakers since 2016. In the Nizza, Monferrato region of Piedmont, Italy, they have let their land regenerate from mass conventional farming, and are now running an entirely organic grape growing operation – with a slow and steady introduction of Biodynamic practices. With seriously impressive offerings of old vine Barbera – the grape of note in this region – these winemakers are also turning out delicious amphora-aged Moscato that will make you question your whole wine belief system. These two are looking to expose new dimensions of local grapes through experimentation and earth-friendly farming.
