An aromatic, mineral and boisterous Jura chard that’s begging for a SNACK! Winemakers Jean-Baptiste Menigoz and Florien Kleine Snuverink are a spirited pair growing vines and fermenting low-intervention wines in the heart of Jura’s Arbois region. Their seven hectares of regionally beloved grapes include chardonnay, pinot noir, ploussard, trousseau and savagnin, all grown organically with biodynamic treatments when needed. FUN FACT! Arbois was the first French wine appellation (AOC), established in 1936! Picked from 25-50 year-old vines, the grapes were direct press and aged in barrel for two years, where they were topped up every 3-4 weeks to avoid oxidation. Spring daffodils and lilacs, wet cave, gold filigree, lactic roundness meets mineral muchness, tepache (Mexican fermented pineapple bevy), chalky, fruity candy necklace, tingly lemon, white pepper & an illustrious texture. Pour alongside chicken salad sandwiches and Anthony Bourdain’s The Nasty Bits.
