A classically rich and invigorating Barolo for the hardworking superfans of superior farming techniques and undeniable traditional methods. Winemaker Diego bottled his first vintage in 2003 with little more than 1300 bottles of Barolo (Ginestra, not bad!). Today, Diego and his son Stefano work their 7.5 ha of organic vineyards, 2 ha of which are in the 'Grand Cru'. The goal is to give shape to the best constituents of Monforte d'Alba: structure, texture, minerality & longevity. Bright field berries fraternizing with cooling menthol, dried thyme, tar & tobacco smoke, while the pronounced tannins clemently introduce themselves. Enjoy with a roasted goose & listening to someone tell long-winded stories about their past.
