Meet RAVER DAVE'S! A lip-smacking, spicy and satisfying Niagara Cab Franc that is part power, part deep fruit. Made in collaboration with our darling pals over at Paradise Grapevine and a part of our Ontario House project bringing well priced, interesting and delicious local wines to your table. Made from two parcels at Willms Vineyard in Four Mile Creek, one younger plot bringing LIVELY juiced-up flare, the other 37 and showing more classically rich and brooding. FUN FACT! When we were barrel tasting in the PGV Geary cellar, we LOVED the young parcel's vibrancy and undeniably delicious purple fruit, but we were charmed by the structure, maturity and finesse of the more classic-leaning older parcel. We couldn't choose and knew it was time to BLEND. This bottling feels like the last drops of summer warmth, trapped like a message in a bottle reading "the party isn't over yet!", while wiggling into its beat up leather jacket and coziest blanker scarf. Ready for your next rave (obvi), family brunch or horror film marathon. 

Merlot & Pinot Noir, Istria, Slovenia

A classic and savoury Slovenian red for the arborist in us all. Certified biodynamic and family owned and operated, they are situated in Istria on a rolling hillside with an enviable view of the Adriatic, their vines, and olive trees, stretch from the salt-soaked coastline to higher hinterland. A blend of earthy merlot (60%) and spiced, fruity pinot noir (40%) that sees five days on skins to keep tannin extraction under control. Late summer morning in a coming of age film, highbush blueberry, PEPPER spice, a dry, old wood cask, with bright raspberries & red currants inside. Enjoy with a platter of grilled zucchini, while looking up, “what vegetables masquerade as fruits?”.

Dolcetto, Piemonte, Italy

#DolcettoGangFerever! Fausto and Cinzia Cellario are 3rd generation winemakers, organically tending to their 13 hectares in the village of Carru, on the western outskirts of the Langhe. The family exclusively works with local Piemontese grape varieties and will wholeheartedly defend their local winemaking traditions to the end. For ‘Duzat’, half of the grapes are crushed, while half are left whole (but destemmed) to give the wine a carbonic aromatic lift and soften the tannic blow. Strawberry jello surprise, smoky herbs, tiny cherries, gardenia, picking turkey tail mushrooms, cedar slab, black fig & tongue tingling acidity. Enjoy with beef chow mein.
