Alex Foillard may be son to Beaujolais legend Jean Foillard – one of the Gang of Four who essentially launched the natural wine movement – but this polished and sophisticated Gamay speaks volumes for itself. Farmed from 70-year-old vines, grapes undergo a whole-cluster wild ferment and are aged in concrete for 4-5 months, then bottled unfined and unfiltered.
