Nothing gets us out of bed like a loud & unrelenting good morning poultry call. Winemaker Manel has all the ease of a hobby gardener, melded with his multigenerational experience, caring heart & years of hard work to make this property the living microcosm it is. From 42 year old heady Tempranillo & baked-fruity Carignan vines, grown on sandy-calcareous soils that bestow the elegantly interwoven minerality ‘Lentiscus' wines are known for. Fermented in stainless steel tanks, where it remained over the winter until bottling the following spring. Crimson in colour, with sticky tannins, horseshoe, leather boots, balsamic syrup, cranberry swim, muddy field florals, smoked star anise & pepper roasted walnuts. Drink this 1L bottle with cured meats, Iberico in particular, while reading An Immense World by Ed Yong.
