Seventh generation winemaker Alexis Duchet has farmed the family’s Macon vineyards organically for years, but "The Berry Story" wines tell the tale of more newly acquired land and their conversion to organic farming. FUN FACTS! Alexis transitions the land by planting horsetail, stinging nettle and clover in the rows and weaning the vines off of chemical fertilizers and onto biodynamic treatments – no easy task, especially for the vines! Fermented in stainless steel, this plushy chard has no oak influence, instead gleaning richness and a creamy texture from malolactic fermentation and lees contact. The smell on your fingers after squeezing a lime, plump pear, dried honey, white chocolate enlivened by charged citrus acidity & chalky minerality. Enjoy with chicken à la king.
