A frolicking co-ferment fit for the chancellor of Austria, on their day off of course. From the love and labour of the fresh and lively winemaker Andreas Ziniel – Weingut Ziniel is a free spirited winery that encompasses 16 hectares of organically kept land at the lowest point in Austria. For some insight into their mindset, they say they are, “completely at peace in the centre of the universe” – how desirable is that kinda quiet confidence? We think VERY. The name Zini comes from the family (Ziniel) nickname, and they say their goal was to make a fun wine out of FuN regional grapes! Mission accomplished! Approximately 15 year old vines of bright welschriesling, floral muskateller, herbaceous sauvignon blanc & tart rotburger. Hibiscus tea, cranberry skins, rubbing purple sage flowers between your fingers, lullaby minerality & tannins that feel the way oil pastels look on paper. Pour alongside tarot card readings and searching for Icelandic sheep videos.
