Bright as a laser show and dry as a Nathan Fielder joke, this zero-zero riesling is a dunk in the cold plunge pool to save you from extinction. The Durrmann family work in the idyllic town of Andlau where their certified organic & biodynamic farm – shown as painterly hillsides on their labels – actually looks like it was plucked straight out of The Sound of Music. As the name suggests, riesling was grown from vines in granite soils right BESIDE their most prized and expensive vineyard. So buying it is kind of like picking the hard-working players that just didn’t make the team for really no fault of their own efforts!! Open a bottle and get beeswax in the creamed honey, bruised apple flesh, mango pickle, gently filthy martini & bunsen burner experiment. This riesling would be unreal with a Gorgonzola fondue and wow how impressive that you thought to bring that to the party.
