La Ginestra’s rich, classic and courageous Tuscan treasures are finally here! The romantic history of their land began in 1978, when a group of young Tuscans began to restore an abandoned farm south of Florence. Today, La Ginestra is a worker-owned and managed Tuscan farm spanning over 130 hectares, with 7.5 under vine, and the rest home to roaming cows, 700 beehives, pigs, legumes and grains. Dario Nocci acts as winemaker and part-owner and came from a conventional wine education background, but shed that restrictive skin in favour of creating wines that breathe with life and stir up feeling. In the vineyards they utilize biodynamic treatments with the aim of encouraging the diversity of the soils, plants and animals, and in the cellar they work with minimal intervention, utilizing clay amphora for macerating and aging these textured wonders. FUN FACT! They also have a gorgeous restaurant and guesthouse on the property if you’re ever in the area! What an honour it is to bring them to you glass.
